DISCLAIMER: All consumer information in this newsletter is simply the exchange
of information offered voluntarily by the consumer, or the person who has bought Just
Tea for the consumer. None of the information has been researched, or proven by
scientific study. My purpose is not to diagnose, nor treat any disease process. I simply
make Just Tea by the time honored “essiac” recipe, and make it available for those who
choose to consume it. My basic knowledge on essiac tea comes from the publications,
“TheEssiac Report”, “Essiac Essentials”, “Calling of An Angel”, and about ten years of
making the brew for those that wish to try it. Thank you for your interest in Just Tea.
Note: Except for the distributors, the names in this report are not the correct names of the
tea customers, for privacy sake. I use similar names and sometimes numbers following the
names which identify the person for me, just in case I ever need that information.
IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO MIGHT BENEFIT FROM THIS NEWSLETTER, EITHER
PASS IT ON, OR SEND ME THE EMAIL ADDRESS AND I WILL SEND IT OUT.
Combining two months is not something that I normally do, but have had an enormous amount
of extra work over the past month, and this is the best I can do this time. I have done two Expos
in the past month, one a really big one for the Medical University of S.C. I, along with a good
friend, Karyl, served Just Tea to about 350 employees and associates of the Medical University,
and the general public. Many already knew about Just Tea, many took newsletters, and I have
gotten orders from that Expo. Then there was a smaller one for employees of a downtown hotel.
That also went well. Dr. Ann Kulze was promoting her book at both Expos, “Dr. Ann’s 10-Step Diet” baed on
the right fats, right proteins, and right carbohydrates. Imagine my surprise when I opened to the
dedication page to find that she had dedicated the book to her father, who just happens to be a
retired physician, and also one of my customers, who has referred several others! Small world!
Last month we discussed the benefits of sheep sorrel, one of the ingredients in Just Tea. This month
we will talk about burdock root… The 4 ingredients are burdock, sheep sorrel, slippery elm bark and
turkey rhubarb root.
BURDOCK ROOT, the second ingredient in Just Tea (or essiac)…This description comes from“Identifying and Harvesting Edible and Medicinal Plants”, by Steve Brill. Next month I will follow
with the description from “The Essiac Report”…First the book describes the many ways to eat
burdock root as a vegetable. Then, “Burdock root is very nutritious, providing vitamin C, biotin,
vitamins B-1, B-6, B-12, vitamin E, potassium, sulfur, silica, and manganese. It provides inulin
(not insulin), a helpful sugar for diabetics because it doesn’t elicit rapid insulin production. Burdock
is one of the best and safest herbal medicines, with a wide range of uses, dating back to the days of
Hippocrates. People pay ridiculous prices in health-food stores to make burdock concoction, then
throw away the roots. You can simmer fresh or dried wild burdock, eat the root, and use the cooking
water medicinally. You can also tincture the root. Many people swear by this herb, relating miracles
that would put many doctors to shame. Burdock is used for liver dysfunction, urinary tract disorders
and weight loss. It’s a thorough diuretic that cleanses the entire body as it tones and soothes. It’s
most effective as an alterative in chronic conditions that require subtle, slow, and safe long-term nourishment and support. As a general detoxifier and immune system stimulant, it helps people without clear-cut pathologies who don’t feel well, and for biochemical imbalances where someone is easily upset and
needs grounding. People with sugar metabolism problems or chronic weakness often have stomach,
kidney, liver and/or lymphatic problems. Burdock root, with its high mineral levels, will build,
stabilize, and detoxify these organs. The tea is mucilaginous (gooey), so it soothes and tonifies the
stomach muscles, and mucous membranes, promoting digestion and eliminating toxins from the
digestive tract. It’s helpful in colds, with antimicrobial action attributed to its polyacetylenes. Its
demulcent action soothes the upper respiratory tract’s mucous membranes, while its diaphoretic
action makes your perspire, stimulating the immune system and promoting detoxification. Burdock
root’s diuretic effect also stimulates the kidneys to eliminate excess fluids, along with unwanted
concentrates. The combination of diuretic and antibiotic effects make this an excellent herb for
cystitis. Burdock helps alleviate many acute and chronic skin problems. I’ve see nthe resulting clear,
vibrant skin. Severe eczema and psoriasis may disappear over a period of six months to a year,
especially if the burdock decoction is combined with a good diet and exercise. A compress of
concentrated burdock leaf infusion is also good for eczema. You can make burdock oil by soaking
the root in olive oil for a month. People also use this externally, while drinking the decoction, for a
variety of skin problems from rashes to acne. An infusion of the seeds also soothes external sores,
cleanses the skin, soothes the mucous membranes and the kidneys, and promotes urine elimination.
A student got a big kick in the ribs a few days after collecting burdock with me. there were no
broken bones, just a gigantic, painful bruise. I advised him to chopup the burdock leaves, mix them
with clay, and bandage this poultice to his injury. In a few days, the bruise was gone. The poultice is
also good for gouty swellings and inflamed surfaces.” NOTE…THIS IS NOT MY WRITING, BUT
COMES DIRECTLY FROM THE BOOK NOTED ABOVE.
Customer Reports:
Janet Sharpe, and her friend Daisy, both new distributors stopped in recently after being
referred to Just Tea by their relatives. Janet has had gallbladder problems, and has frequent
bouts of nausea and discomfort in her abdomen. When we finished talking both ladies tried a
sample of Just Tea. (Janet had been nauseous since she came in.) Within 5 minutes the nausea
was gone, and she was one happy lady! She was back just a few days ago for two more cases.
Mr. Arthur Williams from the VA Hospital reports that he was on three different blood pressure
medications, but still was not able to control his blood pressure. He started Just Tea. He reports
that he is no longer taking any of the prescribed blood pressure meds, and his blood ressure is
in good control.
Vicky reports that her brother has been taking Just Tea for about a year for cancer, and that he
is doing well. She has decided to try Just Tea herself.
Mary Lou is a regular customer of Just Tea. She states that her 91 year old father is now using
it as well, and reports that his painful knee is much better.
Jackie reports that Just Tea has stopped her heavy blood flow, and she is very thankful for this
marvelous brew.
Shawn reports that he has had irritable bowel syndrome and has been essentially housebound for
a year. After one week on Just Tea, he says he feels like a prisoner who has been released! He is
able to be out and about again!
Ron reports that he is getting positive results with Just Tea, and looks younger!!
Alonzo called me just tonight (2/13). He was ecstatic over his results with prostate cancer. These
are the PSA’s that had been reported on him prior to the beginning of Just Tea and a raw food
diet... (from May to November of 2005)..8.0, 10.0, 12.4, 14.6, 19.1….On January 10th, his PSA had
dropped to 1.8!!. He had it redone by a different lab because the drop was so dramatic, and that
lab reported 4.1…not quite as low, but still a drastic change. Alonzo had metastasis to the spine,
and does not know if there are any changes there. His doctors want to do an MRI, but Alonzo wants
to wait a few months to do another one. His nurse has told him that she has never, in all her experience
seen a PSA drop noticeably without any drugs to cause the drop. Alonzo has dropped 40 lbs. on his
raw food diet. He will be keeping in touch and reporting any changes that occur, so be watching for
his reports.
Jackie reports that the Parkinson’s tremors in her hands have completely gone away after being on
Just Tea only 11 days. Her husband is also using Just Tea, but is not seeing dramatic changes at this
time.
Barbara reports that her son is now clear of facial cancer. He used chemotherapy and Just Tea very
successfully after being misdiagnosed as Bell’s Palsy for more than a year. The tumor was discovered
at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Texas. She sent me a copy of her recommendation to her friends:
“Please go to www.just-t.com and read all the info. It has helped many, many people who we know,
including my dad. This is what your friends were talking about, and Patrick took it for a
little while, but needs to take for at least a year. Be sure and order it already brewed. Ginny Darby
does a good job with that and it certainly beats doing it yourself. We have started Tim on it. So
check out the site! Ginny is also wonderful at answering questions. Jerrell, you need to tell her about
your condition, and ask if it has ever helped anyone with your disease. “
