SOME THINGS TO KNOW
In deciding which essiac preparation to take, here are some things to be aware of:
- Some of the preparations have added alcohol, listed as a preservative. l have no problem with alcohol (used in moderation), but CERTAINLY NOT IN THIS PREPARATION! It goes without saying that alcohol changes the make-up of the formula. If Rene thought that adding alcohol would make a better formula, you can be sure she would have added it herself!
- Many formulas, have an added herb, or several herbs, which are said to "improve" the formula. In fact, from reading The Essiac Report, I'm led to believe that Rene, herself, chose to add the additional herbs to make the Florescence formula. However, according to The Essiac Report, Rene was 70 years old when she started working with Dr. Brusch in 1959. She sold the recipe to the Resperin Co. in 1977, when she was 89, and it was only four herbs at that time. She died in December of 1978. Dr. Brusch, who was Rene's partner, and a very respected M.D., formed a partnership with Elaine Alexander in 1988, then produced "Florescence" in 1992 with the 4 additional herbs. Page 78 states that Dr. Brusch added the 4 extra herbs.
- How do you know the quality of the herbs used? This is where working with quality suppliers makes a huge difference. There are several major wholesale herb companies. Blessed Herbs Co., Trout Lake Farms, and Frontier Herbs are my choices for premium, medicinal quality herbs. We take special care in procuring the best quality herbs for our product, receiving samples for inspection before purchase.
- My tea is made fresh several times a week. It has a safe six month expiration date. Dry mix has a one year expiration date.
- Purchasing the dry mix is the most cost effective way to get "Just Tea". It does require some equipment and effort, but can save some money over time.
- Purchasing the bottled version of "Just Tea" is more convenient. We brew the tea in our professional kitchen and bottle it for you. If you do any comparison shopping on the Internet, you'll find that "Just Tea" is pretty much the most reasonably priced essiac product out there. Why? We're a fairly simple operation that puts distribution over profits. We've seen what this dietary supplement can do for folks and want to share with as many people as possible.
- There are many theories out there as to the best formula, additives, methods of preparation & packaging. There are a variety of prices, as well, most of them quite high, even for top quality herbs (if you are getting top quality!)... But then, big companies do have overhead, and they must make a profit in order to bring you the product.
- My theory is that God, in his wisdom, provided a natural healing method, growing right here on Mother Earth, to cure all our ills, even the new ones. What a shame we have lost so much of the knowledge of our ancestors! Many of you remember that your Grandparents knew which growing plants would help heal many of your ills. Then we destroy our natural vegetation in order to build more and bigger buildings. It seems that we destroy the healing methods provided for us by the Lord himself! Are we Indeed, our own worst enemy???
