I have been making Just Tea since 1994, though it had no name at that time.  I had been given the recipe for this old Indian healing remedy in January of that year by a man in the lobby of a hotel in North Carolina where I was attending a conference for my company. I never knew his name. I took the recipe out of courtesy, as he had just been talking to a group of people about "essiac" and when he finished and offered them the recipe, they just smiled and walked off.  Seeing his dismay, I chimed in and said, "I would love to have the recipe", not that I believed it would do anything, of course, but it made him feel better.  Only a few months later my sister, Judy, had the recurrence of breast cancer which had begun in 1985, then a second go round in the other breast in 1986. She had been in remission until 1994.  When it returned in 1994 it manifested as cancer cells in fluid that was collecting in the pleural cavity.  Doctors at the Medical University of South Carolina expected that she would live from 3-12 months, and could only offer Tamoxifen, which she was unable to take since it caused her feet to swell up and turn purple.  They drained off the collecting fluid periodically, but did not expect much benefit to occur from this procedure.  MUCH prayer went into this situation, and I decided to tell Judy about the recipe. I made the tea and used it myself before I gave it to her to be sure that there were no harmful side effects.  I also read all that I could find on essiac tea and talked with a well thought of herbologist in Charleston, S.C where I lived at that time.  Everything I investigated led me to believe that the tea would be beneficial for Judy.  The first startling thing that occurred once I started on Just Tea was that my voice, which had been "missing in action" for about 3 months after an instrument passed through my throat to  biopsy a suspicious lymph node in my chest (they were all swollen to approximately 10 X normal) apparently touched my vocal chords causing paralysis.  (The diagnosis was sarcoidosis.)  After about a week of Just Tea my voice began coming back.  I thought that very strange, as I had just been to a second ENT specialist who said that if my voice had not returned in 3 months since the surgery, then it would not likely be returning.  I could not understand the coincidence, so stopped with the tea, and in just a few days the sound disappeared again.  I started the tea back and the voice returned again.not loud, and not clear, but still it was a VOICE!  Over time, of course, it returned altogether.altogether too much, if you ask my husband!  This was very encouraging for me, and with no side effects noted at all, I recommended the tea to Judy.  She began on what has been 14 years of Just Tea consumption.  She also took Arimidex, prescribed by her Oncologist for about 5 years, stopping with it about 7 years ago. She has obviously done MUCH, MUCH better than what the doctors thought, as she has been in very good health for 14 years since the 1994 diagnosis, and the fluid in the pleural cavity never came back.  At this time (7/30/08)she has just found out that she has 3 small 9 cm., 4 cm., and 4 cm. nodes in her lungs which are metastases to the second breast cancer go round of 1986, and she is starting again on Arimidex and has begun Just Tea 3 X day.  We believe very strongly that Judy will be healthy and active until she is a very old lady. At this time she is 66. God has kept her in the palm of His hand. 

This was my beginning with Just Tea.  Since 1994 many, many people have written, emailed and called me to tell me of their awesome healing experiences with Just Tea.  Whether of not Just Tea is the reason for the healings is anybody's guess, but it certainly did not do any harm, and these people are quite certain that it was the reason for their return to good health.  My purpose is not to declare that essiac tea (or Just Tea, which is my brand) is responsible for these healings, but rather to continue to brew the tea with the best available, most reputable herbs that can be purchased, and to make the tea to the utmost of my ability, providing it for those who choose to use it for whatever purpose they choose.  However, you can bet your bottom that these reports are the reason I choose to continue making Just Tea day after day, after day, and praising the Lord for His great blessings on me and my family through these common herbs which He has placed on Earth for our use. Nothing leaves my shop without His blessings.  We make a good team..
